The Rucker Poker League is the premiere poker league in Southern Alabama and is an official sponsor of RukcerHoldem.com.  Founded by Oscar Amaya, the Rucker Poker League is played exclusively at Oscar's Bar & Grill in Enterprise, AL.

The RPL is a free, points based league that offers all the realism of high-stakes, No-Limit Texas Hold'em Poker.  Unlike other leagues in the area, the RPL encourages good play through a restructured blinds system that penalizes poor play.  The points matrix is also designed to reward better players by making the points worth something.  With other leagues, the points mean very little, but with the RPL, your finishing order and points do mean something.  The more points you earn, the more chips you get for the invite tournaments.  Better play is rewarded!  Points are awarded only for the top 15 finishers, with those making the final table receiving a significant amount more.  Players don't have to play a lot, they just have to play well.

The RPL offers more local, cash invite tournaments than any other league in the area.  Cash invite tournaments are held every two months with only the top players being invited back to play.  Invite tournaments have small fields of no more than 32 players increasing the odds that the best players make it into the money.

You can download the official rules of the Rucker Poker League which include the RPL Code of Conduct of Poker Players, the Blinds Schedule, and the Points Matrix.
